Jalou in Newcastle is hands down one of the best spots in the city for a night out! The vibe is always on point, especially at the weekends when they play incredible R’n’B tunes that keep the energy high all night long. The music alone makes it worth a visit, but the cocktails take it to another level — the zombie cocktails are an absolute must try! Strong, delicious, and served with a bit of flair, they’re the perfect way to kickstart your night. Can’t recommend Jalou enough for anyone looking for great music, amazing drinks, and a guaranteed good time.

Whenever I come to Newcastle, this is somewhere I always enjoy going for a couple of cocktails before getting the train home! The cocktails here are out of this world and they taste divine! They’re literally some of the best cocktails that I’ve had, and I’ve had a few! They’re a nice change from your boring old cosmopolitan or strawberry daiquiri! My favourite is the marshmallow martini, where they use their own homemade marshmallow foam to mix in with the cocktail, topped off with a toasted at the bar marshmallow! Definitely exciting!
Just wanted to say how much my wife and I enjoyed ourselves here! There was such a nice vibe as soon as we walked in. The drinks were spot on, and I think it was Chelsey who served us—brilliant customer service. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back again soon for more cocktails!

Came in early to see what it was like without many people. The staff I met, Amy and Chelsey, were absolutely lovely. They were both really friendly and answered any questions I had. Really looking forward to going again. And the cocktails were so freaking good as well.
